The City of Lock Haven operates the William T. Piper Memorial Airport, a General Aviation facility located at the eastern end of the City. The Airport has a paved runway measuring 100’x 3,800′, a runway lighting system and paved taxiways and tie down areas. It also has a turf runway measuring 75′ x 2,200′. The facility includes 27 T-Hangar spaces which are leased for airplane storage.
Our newly renovated terminal offers an expanded flight planning room with wireless internet access and a conference room. We have also added a ramp accessible waiting room with restroom that is open 24/7 at the west end of Hangar 1. An automated weather advisory and runway lighting is activated by 3 microphone clicks on the Unicom frequency 122.80. Pilot supplies, including navigation charts and maps, are for sale in the main lobby.
The airport is open for FBO operations including fuel service from 8:00am to 4:00pm M-F. After hours service may be arranged by contacting the airport manager – a $20.00 call-out fee may be assessed. FBO services are closed on major holidays and extreme weather events.
